San Marzano Paste Tomato

This is an improved strain of the Italian heirloom with luscious flavour. Longer and thinner than Roma, with a pointed end, little juice, and very few seeds. Indeterminate and later ripening- but well worth the wait! The famous Italian sauce tomato. It dates back to at least the 1770s when this variety was grown in the village of San Marzano, near Mt. Vesuvius. Indeterminate.

“As soon as I saw my seeds, I had a feeling that they came from plants that had been grown with care – I was further convinced by the 100% germination rate and the fact that … the corn and beans we grew from those seeds thrived and produced a lovely crop! Thank you so much for providing such great seeds; and service, too!”
