Different types of corn include sweetcorn (harvested at the immature/green stage for fresh eating), flour corn (for grinding into cornmeal/flour or making homemade masa for torillas), and popcorn. While corn requires more space for good production, it’s not as much as you may think and backyard gardeners can definitely grow their own corn!
