Introducing our first farm-bred sweet pepper, Moon Cheese Sweet Pepper, and it’s out of this world! Back in 2018, we discovered a chance cross between two long time farm favourites Napoleon Sweet Pepper and Klari Baby Cheese Pepper. It impressively combined the best of both varieties – early ripening, crunchy, & sweet with a long blocky shape & luminous yellow-green colour (ripens to red).
We were encouraged by how consistent subsequent grow outs of the cross were; in 2023 plants were over 90% true-to-type, with the remaining plants producing darker green sweet peppers that are good to eat, too. So we’ve decided to let you give it a try in your garden; we think you’ll love it as much as we do!
