National Pickling Cucumber

National Pickling Cucumber is a reliable and heavy producer of stubby pickling cucumbers. Pick young for fresh eating or baby gherkins, or grow large for big dills. The best choice for lacto-fermented pickles, as it stays crisper than most other varieties. After letting the first fruits mature for seed at our farm, we get a continuous supply of cukes until the frost. Originally developed by the National Pickle Packers Association in the 1920’s, this is the best heirloom pickling cucumber we’ve tried.

Customer Testimonials

“As soon as I saw my seeds, I had a feeling that they came from plants that had been grown with care – I was further convinced by the 100% germination rate and the fact that … the corn and beans we grew from those seeds thrived and produced a lovely crop! Thank you so much for providing such great seeds; and service, too!”
