One of our best performing potato varieties, in the field and in the kitchen! Aptly bred in Lunenburg, Germany in the 1960s, Nicola has an oval/oblong shape, smooth yellow skin, and dense golden flesh. Highly favoured by specialty growers for its resistance to disease, consistently high yields and appealing smooth & clean appearance. The variety is considered an every day table potato and can be used in a wide variety of cooking applications. It’s classified as a mid-season variety, meaning around 80 days to mature harvest.
Seed potatoes ship in the spring when the potential for a hard freeze during transit in the mail is over – for us this is mid-April or so. Please specify at checkout if you request a delay in shipment (until mid-May at the latest). $5 per pound.
