Sweet Basil

(Ocimum basilicum)  The best basil for pesto, pasta sauce and all sorts of cooking. Vigorous plants, with smooth green leaves, Sweet Basil performs very well outdoors. Keep the flowers pinched to promote extra leaves, or let them flower to attract bees and to collect seeds come fall.
