We grew out Sweet Siberian Watermelon for the first time in 2022, and were amazed to have produced enough seed in year one to offer to you! With watermelons, it often takes a growing season or two for the seeds to “learn” and adapt to our conditions enough to thrive. So that speaks to the hardiness and short growing season this old heirloom was originally bred for. The oblong fruits can get big for such a quick maturing watermelon, the biggest weighing well over 10 pounds! The yellow-orange to deep apricot coloured flesh is exceedingly sweet and crunchy. A fabulous addition to our watermelon collection.
