Gorgeous red flower heads loaded with white seeds. Excellent variety for grain production, yet also visually stunning for decorative use. Like all amaranth varieties, young leaves can be eaten as a spinach substitute. 4 to 5 feet tall- Opopeo takes a long season to fully ripen seeds so start indoors in April to transplant out if growing for grain. Heirloom from Mexico. Hundreds of seeds per packet.
