(C. pepo) Perhaps the best pie pumpkin around- once you try it, you’ll be hooked! Another old Maine heirloom likely derived from the Algonquian Squash grown by First Nations, these pumpkins look like giant green zucchinis even when time to harvest in the fall. The skin turns brilliant orange in storage- these are exceptional keepers (and stackable!). Fluffy and sweet (never stringy!) orange flesh perfect for pies, breads, and soups. The elongated shape means less seed cavity per fruit and more divine flesh. Our absolute favourite pie pumpkin. Approx. 15 seeds per packet.
