All plants are for local pickup at our farm only in 2020. Transplants are grown from seeds produced on our farm, in certified organic potting mix blended with locally produced Bear Cove Resources Storm-cast Composted Seaweed.
Zucchini, squash and pumpkin transplants will be available for pickup starting in late May.
2 to 4 plants per pot. (C. pepo) Perhaps the best pie pumpkin around- once you try it, you’ll be hooked! Another old Maine heirloom likely derived from the Algonquian Squash grown by First Nations, these pumpkins look like giant green zucchinis even when time to harvest in the fall. The skin turns brilliant orange in storage- these are exceptional keepers (and stackable!). Fluffy and sweet (never stringy!) orange flesh perfect for pies, breads, and soups. The elongated shape means less seed cavity per fruit and more divine flesh. Our absolute favourite pie pumpkin.
