(C. pepo) A.K.A. Cornell Bush Delicata. The delicious nutty flavour and edible skin makes it a great addition to stews or roasts. The green stripes on the cream coloured skin turn to orange in storage. A productive and busy growth habit provides a high yield even in small garden spaces. A wonderful “heirloom of tomorrow” once it has its 50th birthday – a stellar variety bred by Cornell University in the 90s.
